The pub, late in construction, 1936-1937
The first customers were the builders, being served whiskey and milk. The milk was pretty fresh.

A proper ‘local’, Blacks continues to be the place where travellers can drop in for a drink and stay, and locals can catchup.
There’s a fine fishing and hunting tradition at Blacks, and the first day of the fishing and duck seasons are always popular.
There’s always plenty of parking.
Hoar Frost, but the pub boasts one of the best fireplaces in Central.
